The GALERA, it’s really the exact opposite of imprisonment: a lookout point over the valley, open and sunny. It remains on the left of the Rocca della Garda bar, 5 min. from that, and it is characterized by two parts: the red cave on the right, which counts a dozen routes overhanging on perfect rock with notches and cubes; the routes are short, intense and fun.The wall on the left, where there are about twenty vertical routes on excellent rock, mainly on grade 6a / 6b, making it appreciated AREA NO BIG. Purely winter sector, exposed to the South West, in the sun all day.
Approach
From Castelbianco reach the village of Veravo and park in the large parking lot behind the church; from the parking lot turn right and enter in the village and cross it all until you reach a cobblestone path that, on the left, rises among the olive trees (red triangle path marking) until you cross a dirt road; to go for about 200 meters (to the right) and little before arriving at a small house of the aqueduct, take a path on the left with indication Bauso (red triangle path marking). After some bends, you will find the detour on the left to access the classic areas of Bauso (wooden signpost); instead continue the path until you meet the dirt road again. Here, take the path on the right that goes up with a red square sign (stone blocks). After some ruins on the right, you reach another fork (signs painted on the rock, red square signpost) and go to the right. A few meters later you will find another fork: if you go up to the left you will reach the SCUDO and MISTRAL sector, and also the GALERA; once you have arrived near the SCUDO, continue the main path (three minutes longer than the Scudo sector) trail sign with red square and at the height of little stones take to the left to get under a little cliff; continue for a few meters until you reach Galera.
