The sunny big wall overlooking the Rocca Garda could not fail to attract the attention of those who wander around the valley in search of new spots. And so the Rocpennavaire Association got to work, this time together with another willing bolter, Jack Canale. The big wall thus revealed its potential, and thus the Sagarmatha was born, which presents beautiful technical pitches on vertical walls, but above all an avalanche of easier pitches, accessible to most.
During the explorations, another smaller but equally beautiful wall came out, right next to Sagarmatha: the Arvè, from an idea by Deborah Plodari and Roberto Baroncini. Here too, after a great deal of work by the Rocpennavaire Association, 14 pitches from 4c to 6a + were released and an overhanging bow with some pitches for strong men.
The walls face south and get sun all day, making them perfect for the winter months; the rock is beautiful and adherent.
Approach
From Castelbianco reach the village of Veravo and park behind the church; enter in the village and cross it all until you reach a path that rises on the left (red triangle) until you cross a dirt road; to go for 200 meters (to the right) and take a path on the left with indication Bauso (red triangle). After some bends, you will find the detour on the left to access the classic areas of Bauso (wooden signpost); instead continue the path until you meet the dirt road again. Here, take the path on the right that goes up with a red square sign (stone blocks). After some ruins on the right, you reach another fork (signs painted on the rock, red square signpost).
Here you have two possibilities: (1) faster, continue the large path that climbs to the left and thus directly reach the left side of the Sagarmatha (little stone on the right) - 35 minutes in all; (2) go right and a few meters later you will immediately come across another crossroads: go left to go to GALERA (if you go up to the left you will reach the SCUDO and MISTRAL sector). Once at the GALERA, signpost on the right indicate access to ARVE' and SAGARMATHA. Then continue the path that zigzags up through the woods, until you reach a small cave: from there continue horizontally to the left. You arrive first at the ARVE' and, continuing for 2 minutes always to the left, at SAGARMATHA - in all 45 minutes.
