Technical climbing, strong fingers, be able to use your feet: these are the ingredients of what is called "climbing old style", but in the ‘90s that was the norm and found its maximum expression on the beautiful walls of Bauso of Veravo.
Vertical walls characterized by a high quality rock, a quiet and sunny surrounding environment and, above all, levels of difficulty for everybody, because numerous routes are of grade 6.
It is, therefore, one of the oldest climbing areas of the valley, but always current and very popular, which still reserves surprises. Ideal for the winter months, it is divided into different sectors, very close to each other
Approach
From Castelbianco reach the village of Veravo and park in the large parking lot behind the church; from the parking lot turn right and enter in the village and cross it all until you reach a cobblestone path that, on the left, rises among the olive trees (red triangle path marking) until you cross a dirt road; to go for about 200 meters (to the right) and little before arriving at a small house of the aqueduct, take a path on the left with indication Bauso (red triangle path marking).
After some bends, you will find the detour on the left to access the classic areas of Bauso (wooden signpost): go left and you will immediately meet the Placca dei Malavoglia. Continue the path to the left and you arrive at Bauso Destro (for Grottino Misaki go up on the right). Continue the path on a level road until you reach a fork: if you go straight you will reach the Fontana, if you go up to the right you go to the Bauso Centrale
