La Corveira

North-east   South    5 min. 59 6b ÷ 8c 2005
This white limestone wall, located above the town of Cerisola, can be seen clearly from the state road SS 562 that leads from Martinetto to Garessio, but only in 2005 was it equipped, by Danilo Bo, who bolted the first lines starting from below, alone (!). “Noko goes to hollywood” was the first and then many others followed, opened in this style. The place was reserved for some time and this increased its feature of mystery and, therefore, of interest. Tough climbing, on crips, holes and reverses, often not easy to on-sight. Ideal in mid-seasons, but summer is fine too, considering the north-east exposure and the altitude (600 m. A.s.l.). Rigorous crag, but satisfying! Reccomended routes: “Talora”, “Roccia o Riccia”, “Little Ancelo”, “Noko goes to hollywood”, “For Britta”, “Se voli sorridi”, “il paccaro non mente”, “Maciuchin”.

Approach

You have to reach the small village of Cerisola: then from Martinetto continue on the SS 562, towards Garessio, pass Zucarello and Erli, and after about 5 km you will arrive at Cerisola, the road that goes down to the left (20 km from the Albenga motorway exit). Park in the square near the church, or in the curve just before, respecting the spaces of the residents. Take the path on the right, after the fountain and after 200 m. take the uphill path in the woods
